For the second time in two years, The Freak Brothers co-star Tiffany Haddish was hit with a DUI. It was deja vu all over again with Haddish found asleep at the wheel in Beverly Hills at 5:45 am on Thanksgiving, November 24. The prior arrest took place in Georgia in 2022.

TMZ reported:

"Bev Hills PD officers put Tiffany in handcuffs as she was arrested early Friday morning. The actress and comedian was not involved in an accident, but cops say they got a call around 5:45 AM about someone stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive ... apparently slumped over the wheel while the car was running."

Update: On June 13, 2024, Haddish told Kimmy Kimmel: "The last two years for me have been really difficult, dealing with grief, dealing with the police..."

"You were sleeping in your car?'

"I be tired because I do a lot," she explained. "I served the homeless, almost 3,000 people, all day long." This took place at the Laugh Factory.

Later in the night, she says, "I did have a drink. And I was very sleepy." She says her Tesla pulled the car over and parked it.

Then she joked, "If I ever do a crime, I'm doing it in Beverly Hills."

"Why?" Kimmel inquired.

"It's the most beautiful police station I've seen in my entire life. I have been to jail many times, it's always crummy, but in Beverly Hill the jail cell is nice. It's clean, the water from the sink is sparkling water. The police are so respectful and they have a call button. That's how you know it's really fancy. A call button in a jail cell? I'm thinking about moving into he community."

The Freak Brothers concluded it's second season on Tubi in September. Haddish voices the obscenity-spewing cat known as Kitty.

Her Netflix special Black Mitzvah won the Grammy for Best Comedy Album in 2021. Haddish is half Jewish and half Black. She co-starred in Girls Trip (2014) and has also appeared in Tuca & Bertie, The Last O.G. and The Afterparty.
